The Philadelphia International Music Festival Symphony Program
Our Signature Program is the most popular of the four program options offered at PIMF! Open to students of all ages, the Symphony Program includes seven orchestra levels and full symphonic repertoire. Students who select this program participate in daily orchestra rehearsals from 9:30 a.m. – 12: 00 p.m. daily, attend daily afternoon music theory, music history, sight reading, or choir courses, and participate in one of four late-afternoon options: chamber music, drama, sports, or private practice. The Signature Program also includes weekly private lessons, Master Classes with principal players from The Philadelphia Orchestra, solo performance opportunities including two concerto competitions through which winners perform on-stage duo concertos with members of The Philadelphia Orchestra at the Kimmel Center or Mann Music Center and as soloists with the Ocean City Pops Orchestra in New Jersey, private practice and Alexander Technique classes, optional piano lessons, a camp wide talent show and much more! *Acceptance is limited and on a first come-first served basis. Previous excursions have included private, after-concert meetings with Yo-Yo Ma and Itzhak Perlman.

Kimmel Center Competition for violin students. Winners of this competition will perform an on-stage duo concerto performance at the Kimmel Center with Kimberly Fisher, Principal Second Violinist, Philadelphia Orchestra or other member of the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Note: Private lessons will be conducted throughout the day.
Students in the Symphony Program may attend as either: Resident Campers (Residing on campus throughout the duration of the festival), Extended Day Campers (8:45 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.), or Day Campers (8:45 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.). Please note that the PIMF "Extended Day Camp" fee (see registration form) includes both lunch and dinner. The PIMF "Day Camp" fee includes lunch only.

and often individually,
with Philadelphia International Music Festival students.
