Kimberly Fisher, Principal Second Violinist of The Philadelphia Orchestra, and other Strings International Music Festival faculty have helped countless high school students prepare successful college auditions. In this special Strings International Music Festival program, you will gain powerful insights and advice on: 

Repertoire selection 
Establishing an effective (and improved) private practice strategy
What teachers look for in an audition
Utilizing preparation calendars
Resume preparation
Combating audition (and pre-audition) nerves
How to set up pre-audition performances and where

College Auditions Preparations Program Includes:

*Two - Four Private Lessons per Week (click here for faculty)
*Four Hours Daily Required Private Practice
*Master Classes featuring members of The Philadelphia Orchestra
Concerto Competition
Kimmel Center/Mann Music Center Competition
Chamber Music Program (Optional & Separate Fee)

Kimberly Fisher - whose lecture series and presentations make up the heart of this special Juniors and Seniors Only program - has won five consecutive auditions with The Philadelphia Orchestra - ranging from The Philadelphia Orchestra substitute list to the position she currently holds as Principal Second Violinist. Ms. Fisher's energetic, communicative teaching style has led to invitations to present master classes, chamber music coaching’s, and audition preparation seminars around the world and she has inspired the creation of “Drumstring Publishing,” which features innovative arrangements and educational materials for string players. With an intensive daily schedule (including a minimum of four hours private practice daily) participation in this program could provide the perfect preparation for the highly-competitive world of college auditions.

College Audition Preparation Program
9:30 - 12:30 PM Private Practice
12:30 - 1:00 PM Lunch
1:00 - 2:30 PM Preparation for College Auditions Lecture and Seminar
3:15 - 5:15 PM Chamber Music (optional & separate fee),private practice, or sporting activities
5:15 - 6:00 PM Dinner
6:00 - 7:00 PM Private Practice 
7:00 PM Evening Program (See Evening Schedule)

Private Lessons and rehearsals with faculty accompanist are scheduled throughout the day as appropriate.
