The PIMF Solo Performance Program is designed for advanced musicians, 13 to 19 years of age, preparing for upcoming solo performances or competitions. Designed for students prepared to spend 14-days in intense music training, this unique program includes three-five weekly hour-long private lessons with members of our world-class faculty, including principal players from The Philadelphia Orchestra, chamber music, daily thirty-minute workouts with a faculty accompanist, four-five hours of required daily private practice, daily solo performance classes, numerous opportunities for on and off campus solo performances, two concerto competitions through which winners perform on-stage duo concertos with members of The Philadelphia Orchestra at the Kimmel Center or Mann Music Center and as soloists with the Ocean City Pops Orchestra in New Jersey, an optional chamber music program, Master Classes with members of The Philadelphia Orchestra, and much, much more. The audition process for the PIMF Solo Performance Program- the most elite of our many programs - is highly competitive and limited to only 25 students. Early application is recommended.

Sample Schedule:

08:30am - 09:30am - Breakfast 09:30am - 12:00pm - Private Practice, Private Lessons, and / or Accompanist Workout 12:00pm -01:00pm - Lunch 01:00pm - 02:00pm - Choir, Sight Reading, Ear Training, Kreutzer Studies, Solo Performance Class and More!. 02:00pm - 03:00pm - Required Private Practice Hour 03:00pm - 06:00pm - Optional Chamber Music Program, Private Practice or Sporting Activities. 06:00pm - 07:00pm - Dinner 07:00pm - Evening Program (Recitals, Chamber Concerts, Competitions, and more.)

 

Private Lessons and rehearsals with faculty accompanist are scheduled throughout the day as appropriate.

Two lessons per week. May purchase up two additional lessons per week.

The Chamber Music Program is included for students who register for the PIMF Solo Performance Preparation Program

Participation in the PIMF Chamber Music Program for all other students will incur an additional fee.
